When should an oxygen mask be used?
Oxygen therapy should be commenced if: SpO2 is less than 92% (PaO2 less than 80mmHg in patients without cyanotic heart disease. SpO2 is less than 70% (PaO2 less than 37mmHg) in patients with cyanotic heart disease who have had cardiac surgery.
